Position Overview
AAP Legal Outreach is the largest social justice legal organization focusing on Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, and immigrant communities. Founded in 1975, our mission is to provide culturally competent services to marginalized groups like low-income women, seniors, immigrants, and youth. Based in Oakland and San Francisco, we focus on areas such as immigration, disability rights, and anti-human trafficking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management and legal services to clients, especially in immigration.
- Staff clinics and workshops.
- Engage in community education and outreach.
- Assist with administrative and fundraising tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and experience with underserved immigrant communities.
- Law school graduate awaiting California Bar results.
- Independent work ability; detail-oriented; multicultural team skills.
- Strong legal research, writing, and client-centered advocacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in API languages or Spanish.
- Bicultural skills relevant to low-income communities.
