Position Overview

AAP Legal Outreach is the largest social justice legal organization focusing on Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, and immigrant communities. Founded in 1975, our mission is to provide culturally competent services to marginalized groups like low-income women, seniors, immigrants, and youth. Based in Oakland and San Francisco, we focus on areas such as immigration, disability rights, and anti-human trafficking.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide case management and legal services to clients, especially in immigration.
• Staff clinics and workshops.
• Engage in community education and outreach.
• Assist with administrative and fundraising tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to social justice and experience with underserved immigrant communities.
• Law school graduate awaiting California Bar results.
• Independent work ability; detail-oriented; multicultural team skills.
• Strong legal research, writing, and client-centered advocacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in API languages or Spanish.
• Bicultural skills relevant to low-income communities.
