Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse

About the role

Provide comprehensive nursing care in inpatient post-anesthesia units, including Pediatric PACU, general PACU, and specialized surgical centers. Serve as a clinical leader, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient recovery across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, pain and airway management, and medication administration
• Implement individualized care plans and assist with procedures
• Respond to emergencies and maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and foster a safe, therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in the state
• Current CPR certification
• Unit-specific certifications as required

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Bilingual skills
• Specialty certifications in perioperative or pediatric nursing

Work environment

• Fast-paced, team-oriented perioperative setting
