Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse

We are hiring registered nurses (RNs) for all Post-Anesthesia Care Units (PACU), including Pediatric PACU, general PACU, and specialized units such as the Eye Surgery Center. Key Responsibilities Include Providing direct patient care across diverse age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in fast-paced environments.Performing assessments, initiating IVs, managing pain and airway, and ensuring patient safety and comfort post-surgery.Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.Assisting with tests, procedures, and emergency measures, while maintaining accurate medical records.Administering medications safely, adhering to policies, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.Participating in orientation, precepting new staff, and fostering a positive work environment focused on quality care and safety. Qualifications Include Graduation from an accredited nursing program.Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or reciprocal licensing.CPR/BLS certification, with verification requirements.Competency in IV verification within six months.Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, bilingual skills, and specialty certifications.
