MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are critical in shaping the educational experiences of students and supporting school communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned subject areas and grade levels.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
• Uphold school policies and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for certification (e.g., through alternative certification programs).
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required for most positions).
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students, preferred but not always required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
