Portland, Oregon - Traditional Labor Associate
About the role
The Portland office of Fisher Phillips seeks an associate with 2–5 years of traditional labor experience. We will also consider qualified candidates based in the Seattle metropolitan area who can maintain a regular presence in Portland, including at least two in-office days per month, and travel to Portland as needed for client, business, and team needs. The firm will reimburse reasonable travel expenses associated with required visits to the Portland office, consistent with firm policy.
Responsibilities
- Collective bargaining and contract administration experience, including grievance arbitration experience
- Prior experience defending and prosecuting unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board preferred
- Candidates with some employment litigation experience will be considered
Requirements
- Absolutely required: Admission to the Oregon Bar and a JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Experience with traditional labor matters
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
