About the role

The Portland, Oregon office of Fisher Phillips seeks a Senior Associate or Of Counsel attorney with 7+ years of experience to join our Employment Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work closely with accomplished partners, and continue building a sophisticated employment law practice. We are looking for an attorney who thrives in a hybrid work environment, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and is motivated to continue growing professionally while contributing to the success of our clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a strong employment litigation background. Experience handling class and collective actions is preferred, but we also encourage candidates without substantial class action experience to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop case strategy and advise clients on litigation risk
• Draft and respond to pleadings and motions
• Manage discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue motions
• Participate in mediations
• Prepare cases for trial

Requirements

• Admission to the Oregon Bar
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent writing and analytical skills
• Judgment and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced practice
