About the role

This role helps coordinate the planning and execution of go-to-market initiatives and product launches across Portfolio Marketing. The Portfolio Marketing Operations, GTM Project Manager, Senior Associate supports project planning, timeline management, cross-functional coordination, and status tracking to help ensure launch and GTM work moves forward on time and with clear visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and task ownership for go-to-market initiatives and product launches.
  • Cross-functional workstreams to support launch readiness, execution, and post-launch follow-up.
  • Track dependencies, deadlines, risks, and open items, and escalate blockers when needed.
  • Organize meetings, agendas, action items, and status updates to keep launch plans moving forward.
  • Partner with marketing functions, product, and business stakeholders to align priorities, confirm deliverables, and support communication across teams.
  • Support workback planning and sprint-based execution for campaigns, launches, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, dashboards, and status trackers to improve visibility and follow-through.
  • Apply project management concepts and established practices to help ensure work is coordinated, organized, and delivered on time.
  • Use AI-enabled tools as part of daily work to summarize updates, organize project information, draft routine communications, and improve productivity while following team guidance and protecting accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support process improvements that strengthen project execution, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency across GTM and launch workflows.

Qualifications

  • Support preparation of launch materials, project summaries, and stakeholder updates.
  • Assist with maintaining templates, trackers, and project documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement discussions and workflow updates.
  • Support reporting and dashboard maintenance for project visibility.
  • Aid in special projects and team initiatives as assigned.

Skills

  • Proficiency of Monday.com or knowledge as administrator of another project management system (Asana, Trello, Smartsheet).
  • Experience organizing tasks, tracking deadlines, and maintaining process accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with waterfall project management theory and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate across time zones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support coordination with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • High attention to accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects in a team environment.

Benefits

The expected compensation range for this role is $72,000 - $122,000. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package, which may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.

Pay

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates.

Schedule

This position is based in Boston, MA and is a remote role. This person will report to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Marketing Strategy & Operations.
