Portfolio Manager (Multiple Offices)
Job Summary
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing all projects and programs specifically for their assigned portfolio. The Portfolio Manager works closely with the business analysts, IT technical teams, vendors and internal stakeholders to provide an organized framework for projects, resources and dollars associated with their portfolio.
Essential Functions
- Develop and manage all projects within their assigned portfolio.
- Oversee and coordinate various interrelated projects to ensure they benefit one another and meet overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including other project managers, IT team members, and senior management, to align assigned portfolio project goals with organizational strategy.
- Develop and manage program budgets, resource management for IT and assigned teams and projects are completed within scope.
- Identify potential risks and issues within the program and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on program status, challenges, and achievements.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding portfolio status.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of projects within the program, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is typically required.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources effectively.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems, addressing potential roadblocks proactively.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate teams towards achieving program objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise between different stakeholders and team members.
- Experience in portfolio management, project management with a strong understanding of project lifecycle and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certificate
Computer/Software Knowledge
Strong understanding of Microsoft products, and Monday.com
Work Environment
Working indoors with limited exposure to hazards (only those that customarily come up in working in a high-rise). Indoor office work environment. The current Firm policy is hybrid–working in the office a minimum of 3 days per week and working from home the rest of the week (subject to change). After hours and weekend work may be required as the job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
Please anticipate at times to travel up to 25% based on projects within your portfolio.
Compensation and Benefits
- California: The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,00 per year.
- District of Columbia: The pay range for this position is: $130,000 - $160,000 per year.
- Illinois: The salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $160,000 per year.
Medical, vision, and dental coverage is available, including coverage for dependents and domestic partners. This position is eligible for bonuses. This position is also eligible for medical, vision, and dental insurance.
