Portfolio Manager II

About the role

The Portfolio Manager supports risk assessment and credit oversight for the bank's loan portfolio. Responsibilities include conducting annual reviews, loan renewals, loan renewals, covenant compliance, and financial collections within assigned portfolios. Collaborates with Relationship Managers to expand and maintain a profitable, high-quality loan portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Leading analysis, underwriting, origination, and management of commercial and corporate loans.
• Applying loan structuring, risk identification, and mitigation techniques.
• Understanding and utilizing the bank’s risk grading methodology and credit appetite.
• Managing relationships with C&I and real estate borrowers.
• Partnering with Relationship Managers to identify client needs, develop lending proposals, and cross-sell products.
• Overseeing post-approval due diligence and loan documentation.
• Maintaining a diversified portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring credit quality.
• Delegating tasks and mentoring junior team members to develop skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial underwriting and portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in analyzing financial reports, legal documents, and performing calculations.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to interact with senior management, regulators, and clients.
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Organizational and customer service skills essential for success.
