About the Role

The Healthcare Portfolio Manager – Corporate, Specialty and Government PM is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans within the Corporate, Specialty and Government Banking division, focusing on Healthcare offices. This role involves underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring, and administration for an assigned portfolio, collaborating with internal partners to optimize customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
  • Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks, escalating concerns, and maintaining accurate risk ratings.
  • Administer the portfolio, including managing delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, and product renewals.
  • Attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners as applicable.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends, conducting research using available resources.
  • Assist with training and mentoring Analyst and Associate level colleagues.
  • Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in underwriting or commercial banking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Formal credit training.
  • Experience in the syndicated loan market.
  • Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ.
  • Healthcare or middle market underwriting experience.

This is an exempt position, not eligible for overtime pay.

Workplace Type

This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and work-from-home opportunities. Specific arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, experience, and education. Eligible colleagues may also participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
