Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income & Derivatives

About the role

Currently supporting our client on a Senior Portfolio Manager opportunity in Des Moines with a well-established financial institution. This is a broad, hands-on seat for someone who wants exposure across fixed income, derivatives, structured products, funding, liquidity and portfolio risk rather than being tied to one specific product. The role has a strong mix of investment decision making, trading and execution, relative value, risk management and strategic initiatives, with visibility to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of investment experience
• Strong hands-on experience across fixed income, derivatives and/or securitized products
• Proven trading and execution experience
• Strong understanding of liquidity management, ALM and portfolio risk
• Experience identifying and acting on relative value opportunities
• Comfortable working directly with broker-dealers and internal stakeholders
• Strong understanding of hedge accounting
• Strong technical skill set is a must: SQL, advanced Excel and VBA
• Bloomberg proficiency
• CFA and/or MBA preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Pay

$170K-$185K base + discretionary bonus
