Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income

About the role

Identify fixed income investment opportunities consistent with portfolio strategies for core insurance accounts; conduct due diligence, market research and securities analysis; make recommendations to senior management and prepare reports and presentations for board-level Investment Committee meetings; monitor IPS compliance; manage the liquidity position of Shelter entities; maintain process documentation to ensure procedures are current, accurate and implementable.

Qualifications

• BA in analytical field (Accounting, Finance, etc.) required
• 5 to 7 years of investment related experience preferred
• MBA or CFA, or other relevant investment certification
• Demonstrated ability to apply finance and investment management theory
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of one or more fixed income sectors
• Advanced experience with Excel spreadsheet functions and database tools
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Bloomberg Investment System preferred
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Pay: $100,000 / year minimum, commensurate with experience
