About the role

Harrison Street is seeking an Analyst Intern to join the Portfolio Management team for a 10-week program. This position offers exposure to the entire firm and senior leadership, providing a holistic experience in Private Equity Real Estate. The Portfolio Management Team oversees all activities within the Harrison Street Funds, from capital raise and fund documentation to asset disposition and fund winddown. The role involves collaboration with Investor Relations, Acquisition, Asset Management, and other groups to achieve targeted returns within the fund’s risk framework.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis for the Portfolio Management group.
• Compile data from internal sources for departmental analysis.
• Monitor Fund-level financial performance to identify and communicate opportunities and threats.
• Analyze sector, strategy, and partner performance.
• Coordinate and assist in the completion of quarterly and annual investor reporting materials, as well as internal reporting.
• Participate in cross-departmental meetings, including Investment Committee meetings.
• Coordinate with Client Services, Marketing, and Accounting groups to process and respond to investor requests.
• Utilize third-party applications (Yardi, Chatham, Argus, etc.) for data collection and analysis.
• Assist in implementing firmwide data platforms by validating historical and new data.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Real Estate and/or Finance (or strong interest in real assets).
• Core knowledge of finance and accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, organized, and self-directed individual eager to learn all facets of transactions and asset management.
• Must be a rising junior in the 2026-2027 school year.

Program term: Ten (10) weeks starting in early June 2027.
