Portfolio Director
About the role
The Portfolio Director is responsible for strategic oversight of a portfolio of client programs and projects, ensuring delivery performance, risk management, and client outcomes across the portfolio. This role drives standardization, predictability, and continuous improvement across Project and Program Management.
Responsibilities
- Owns delivery of an end-to-end program or a portfolio of interconnected projects.
- Strategic alignment, cross-initiative governance, portfolio budgeting and resourcing, executive reporting.
- Enterprise planning, program governance, senior stakeholder alignment, complex risk/financial management.
- Owns a program (multiple interdependent projects) or a portfolio (multiple initiatives aligned to a strategy).
- Responsible for strategic alignment, long-term planning, and benefit realisation.
- Operates across multiple teams, business domains, or geographies.
- Establishes and enforces governance frameworks and standards.
- Own the strategic direction and operating model of a program or portfolio.
- Drive alignment between multiple projects and organizational objectives.
- Define governance, standards, and delivery frameworks for the program/portfolio.
- Control program/portfolio budget, resource model, and sequencing.
- Portfolio prioritisation within agreed boundaries.
- Funding allocation across projects/programs.
- Escalation pathways and risk mitigation strategies.
- Operating cadence (steering committees, performance reviews).
- Approaches to benefits tracking and realisation.
- Requires alignment from Head of Delivery for changes that affect organizational standards and shifts in strategic priorities or long-term investment.
Requirements
Extensive experience leading large portfolios of complex client programs, proven track record leading high-performing teams, deep understanding of delivery economics, risk, and governance, executive-level stakeholder management experience, proven commercial awareness and track records of enabling large initial and expansion projects (ideally both Time & Material and Fixed Fee), excellent understanding of clients' business, managing strategic client engagements from start to finish, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and value, ability to build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across the organization to meet shared objectives, strong communication, influencing and conflict management skills, outstanding presentation skills, structured, organized and extremely rigorous great time management and prioritization skills, readiness to walk the extra mile, empathy and the ability to listen, flexibility to travel across the region when required – working from SimCorp's office at least two days a week.
Qualifications
Typically 10+ years of experience in project management or client-facing roles.

Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $199,280 – $298,920 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans.
Schedule
Flexible working hours and a hybrid model - working from SimCorp's office two days a week.
