Portfolio Associate
About the role
The Non-Real Estate Lender Finance (NRELF) Portfolio Associate supports the ongoing credit risk management and monitoring of a leveraged finance loan portfolio. Responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, covenant tracking, loan review support, data integrity across systems, and coordination with Portfolio Managers, Credit, and Operations to ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned NRELF loan portfolio for payments, maturities, covenant compliance, and required documentation
- Track, escalate, and document covenant breaches, exceptions, and emerging credit risks
- Support quarterly and annual loan reviews, including financial analysis and risk rating recommendations
- Assist with amendments, waivers, extensions, and ongoing portfolio maintenance
- Support portfolio reporting, stress testing exercises, and audit/regulatory requests
- Maintain accurate loan data and ownership in nCino and related systems
- Identify data issues and contribute to process and reporting improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 1–3+ years of experience in portfolio management, credit analysis, or commercial lending
- Working knowledge of financial statements, credit agreements, and covenant structures
- Strong Excel skills; experience with credit systems (nCino, Moody’s, or similar) preferred
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines
