Portfolio Administration Summer Intern

About the role

VanEck is a privately held global asset management firm founded in 1955, developing forward-looking, intelligently designed active and ETF strategies that strengthen long-term portfolios. The Portfolio Administration Summer Intern position is based in Tampa, FL, within the Portfolio Administration department (over 50 staff across Tampa and New York), reporting to the Vice President – Portfolio Administration. The internship provides exposure across the firm through educational, mentorship, and networking events, access to senior management, and a foundational understanding of the asset management industry. FLSA status: Non‑Exempt, full‑time summer position.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Portfolio Administration teams (Security and Portfolio Analytics, Fund Services and Operations, Trade Settlement, Reporting and Analytics, Accounting Oversight, Regulatory Reporting), with defined project deliverables in each rotation
• Build out Key Performance Indicator reporting tool to highlight important trends
• Update, standardize, and publish desktop procedures for assigned teams to the shared drive
