About the role
The Lot Attendant is responsible for moving trucks and organizing the lot to ensure smooth traffic flow, increase customer convenience, and maintain an orderly service area.
Responsibilities
- Assist Service Advisors by greeting customers and moving vehicles through the lot efficiently.
- Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
- Inspect and record any vehicle damage on the repair order when the vehicle is taken in for service.
- Drive vehicles from the service lane to their designated spots in the service parking lot in a timely manner.
- Deliver keys and repair order hard copies as instructed by the Service Manager after parking a vehicle.
- Ensure all vehicles in the service parking lot are locked and windows are rolled up.
- Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the Service Department.
- Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the Cashier.
- Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have occurred during its stay and report any damage to management immediately.
- Remove seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tabs before returning a completed vehicle to the customer.
- Inspect vehicles for grease spots, stains, or debris and clean them using specified materials and techniques.
- Thank customers courteously when delivering completed vehicles and express appreciation for their business.
- Maintain the parking lot in a neat, organized manner and keep it free of debris at all times.
- Continuously rearrange vehicles for easy accessibility.
- Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas of the facilities.
- Conduct limited grounds maintenance such as trimming hedges and cleaning sidewalks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL and passenger endorsement required).
