About the role

As a Porter at Kips Bay Court, you'll be reshaping communities to attract residents of the future. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining a safe and clean building and grounds, providing excellent customer service, assisting with deliveries, unpacking and storing maintenance equipment and materials, performing snow removal and painting tasks, and responding to resident inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean building and grounds
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents
  • Represent the company and our core values
  • Receive deliveries, unpack and store maintenance equipment and materials
  • Assist with snow removal as needed
  • Assist with painting as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Be an ambassador of the property by answering resident questions and being generally helpful while always representing our cultural responsibilities

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of experience within facilities maintenance
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to try new things

  • Customer service experience is a plus

  • Basic – Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Overtime is available and required in emergency situations
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program
  • Ability to use tablet-based work order program to complete assigned work orders
