PORTER (FULL TIME)

Schedule

Full time, Monday - Friday. Hours may vary; more details provided upon interview.

Pay

$19.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage station.
• Ensures tables are bussed, cleared, and cleaned, and floors are swept during peak service times and prepped prior to service.
• Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
• Washes dishes, glasses, and pots; cleans cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards and expedite smooth service flow.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
• Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris, and in compliance with safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Helps receive heavy deliveries from the dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing safe lifting standards.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Demonstrates personal commitment to safety and that of others.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures, including:
  • Use of medium-weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
  • Use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
  • Use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Porter, warehouse, and customer service experience.
