Porter Building-BI-Housing and Transportation -Full Time/Days (8am-4:30pm)/Tues-Sat

About the role

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Porter- Housing and Transportation to perform various cleaning and housekeeping duties for MSMC Residential Realty buildings. This position is responsible for the overall cleaning of apartments and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent and Handyperson in repairs, as needed.
• Assists above team as assigned (i.e., emergency work and/or special assignments designated to the Superintendent).
• Cleans vacant apartments in preparation for move-in of new tenants.
• Cleans appliances in apartments after moving-out of tenants.
• Cleans common areas of the building, including sweeping and mopping floors in hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms.
• Bundles and removes all garbage and recyclables to designated sidewalk locations for Department of Sanitation pickup.
• Maintains a neat appearance and wears uniform at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good command of the English language (read, write, and understand instructions).
• General work experience.
