Poolside Cabana Bartender

About the Role

Stocks bar, mixes and serves beverages to members and guests, and maintains a clean and orderly bar.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve beverages to order and make appropriate charges to member's account.
• Prepare drinks for server to serve and/or serves directly to members and their guests.
• Take cocktail or food order at bar and at member's table when needed.
• Maintain a sanitary condition in all bar areas at all times; strict adherence to cleaning opening and closing checklist.
• Collect all glassware sent to kitchen for cleaning.
• Set up bar at the beginning of each shift; requisition fruit from kitchen and stock items such as beverage napkins, match books, straws, picks, clean bar towels, etc.
• Stock bar, rotate inventory, and report any shortage to supervisor immediately. Responsible for the safe handling of all club equipment to minimize damage.
• Take daily inventory of liquors and beer.
• Polish all glassware and maintain a neat and orderly appearance at all times. Must be in proper uniform when punching in.
• Set up fruits and juices for portable bars. Keep reach-in and walk-in cooler in service area clean and organized, and ensure all product is properly rotated.
• Perform tableside wine service according to ICC Standards.
• Report maintenance issues to Supervisor.
• Transport beer, kegs, and wine from the Main Kitchen to the PK&B walk-in cooler.
• Complete and total all bar tickets and return all tickets to closing supervisor.
• Fill out requisition for liquor at the end of shift and turn in to closing supervisor.
• Lock beer taps and all cabinets at end of shift.
• Alert supervisor to potential problems with underage drinking or a person's overconsumption of alcohol.
• Read, understand, and adhere to the Club Bylaws and Rules, as necessary.
• Report member complaints, rule infractions, and compliments to immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.
• Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• May be required to carry and balance loaded tray.
• Must be capable of working under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
