About the role

The Scott Resort & Spa is seeking a Pool Technician to join our Resort's Repair & Maintenance / Engineering Team. The goal is to maintain an attractive and well-maintained water experience for all guests and patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the physical appearance of all pools, spas, and fountains on the Resort property.
  • Order and monitor supply levels for all pool maintenance.
  • Report major repairs and items that are not repairable to management.
  • Keep detailed repair and maintenance logs.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to perform job functions.
  • Report major repair items or items that cannot be repaired to management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Some experience with pool maintenance required.
  • Certified Pool Operator.
  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, water chemistry, and natural gas properties as well as the related use of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of safety and handling procedures of all pool and spa chemicals.
  • Ability to learn and use of related tools including hand and power tools.
  • Mathematical skills necessary to perform job duties.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and push and pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds, carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk around the property for the majority of the work period.
  • Ability to memorize and perform Resort Standards, AAA Diamond standards, and Department and Service Standards.

Working Conditions

This is a safety sensitive position and as such, is subject to our Company's Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy and will be subject to random drug screenings. This position requires extensive time outdoors and around the entire property. Actual hours may vary dependent on business need. Attendance as scheduled is a critical element in all positions at The Scott Resort & Spa.
