Key Responsibilities
- Test and balance pool water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, etc.)
- Vacuum and brush pools, clean skimmer and pump baskets, and backwash filters
- Inspect and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and timers
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to water quality or equipment function
- Perform scheduled weekly/monthly maintenance visits to client properties
- Document service visits and maintain accurate records for each job
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment in clean and safe condition
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding services, issues, and recommendations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as a pool technician preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Familiarity with basic mechanical systems and water chemistry
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, lifting)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar certification
- Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge
- Experience with saltwater and automated pool systems
- Spanish speaking is a plus
