About the role
The Pool Maintenance Assistant Manager ensures reliable, professional, and high-quality support for technicians, guests, and members. This position combines fieldwork with supervisory responsibilities, overseeing daily operations and guiding a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Identify and address root causes of issues, escalating complex repairs as necessary
- Provide hands-on leadership to a team of technicians, ensuring precision, discretion, and consistency in daily operations
- Perform routine pool cleaning, water chemistry testing, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and maintaining accurate service records
- Set clear priorities, manage scheduling, and align resources to coach and mentor the team
- Resolve customer concerns professionally, identify recurring issues, and recommend service improvements
- Enforce chemical-handling standards, PPE use, and equipment inspections to promote safety and compliance
- Support all team members in providing Five Star guest service, creating an exceptional experience for guests, members, and team members
- Lift, carry, pull, and push up to 75 pounds intermittently, and perform prolonged physical activity indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in pool cleaning, pool maintenance, or similar fieldwork
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong understanding of water chemistry and pool equipment operation
- Experience using route management or field service applications
- CPR Certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment
- Physical strength and stamina for ongoing, prolonged physical activity, including comfort with higher-than-normal noise levels, electrical, chemical, and strong fume hazards
