Duties of the Position

  • BUS 230A — Financial Accounting (Intro)
  • BUS 230B — Managerial Accounting (Intro)
  • BUS 330A — Intermediate Accounting I
  • BUS 330B — Intermediate Accounting II
  • BUS 430 — Advanced Accounting
  • BUS 434 — Auditing
  • BUS 433A — Individual Taxation
  • BUS 433B — Corporate and Estate Taxation
  • BUS 435 — Cost Accounting
  • BUS 438 — Advanced Data Analytics in Accounting
  • BUS 535 — MBA Core: Cost Control and Analysis

    • Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
    • Extensive (10 years or more) experience may compensate for a lack of a Master’s degree, in a specialized field (for example, tax or audit).
    • A minimum of two college-level sections of teaching experience.
    • A minimum of five years of professional experience related to the courses to be taught.
    • CPA or CMA is strongly preferred.

    Eligibility to Remain in Pool

    Maintaining professional activities and currency in accordance with the Department and School’s faculty qualifications policy is required to remain in the pool.

    Rank and Salary

    • Full-time workload is 15 units per semester.
    • Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
    • The full-time monthly base salary range is $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month.
    • Selection as a candidate in the applicant pool does not guarantee employment.
    • Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon department needs and funding.
    • Relocation expenses will not be provided for temporary faculty appointments.
    • Expenses incurred to attend an interview for temporary faculty positions are not reimbursed by the University.
