About the role
The Department of Engineering and Computer Science at Sonoma State University seeks a full-time faculty member to join our dynamic team starting in August 2026. Responsibilities
- Teach graduate and upper division undergraduate courses in electrical and computer engineering.
- Assignments may include a lecture(s) and/or a laboratory section(s) of the Engineering courses.
Requirements
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience teaching at the university level.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching and research.
- Strong record of scholarly activity and publications.
Skills
- Excellent teaching skills.
- Ability to conduct research and publish findings.
- Collaboration with local and regional industries.
Benefits
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. The anticipated hiring salary range is $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salary range indicated above is prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
Pay
Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.
Schedule
The position is a full-time, 15-unit workload per semester appointment.
