Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses according to the course syllabus and curriculum guidelines.

  • Advising students regarding academic and career planning.
  • Participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

  • A Master's in computer science or computer engineering OR
  • A Bachelor's in either computer science or computer engineering AND a Master's in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting, or engineering OR
  • A Bachelor's in engineering AND a Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a Master's degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems OR
  • The equivalent.

Skills

Effective communication skills, ability to teach a variety of computer science courses, and proficiency in relevant software tools.

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District offers an optional part-time faculty benefits program and membership in the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS) or the Pension Eligible Alternative Retirement (PEAR) Plan.

Pay

$70.84 - $86.11 (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule.
