Responsibilities

  • Perform nutritional assessment and intervention of acute care hospitalized patients
  • Recommend appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient’s diagnosis, nutrition focused physical exam and overall health status
  • Identify the proper nutrition regimen and place order in the medical record
  • Communicate plan of care to all responsible parties
  • Educate patients, family and significant others on nutrition plan
  • Contribute to departmental achievements through process improvement
  • Document findings, orders, and interventions in the electronic health record

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSNT)
  • Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Florida State licensure (LD/N)
  • If registration/license eligible, must become registered/licensed within 6 months
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Less than 1 year of experience required

Qualifications

  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN)
  • CDR Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $36.50 per hour depending on shift.
