Pool CT Tech 2

This role supports accurate diagnosis and treatment by maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, image quality, and efficient workflow in a per-diem/pool capacity at TGH Crystal River.

About the role

The Pool CT Tech 2 performs CT and radiographic imaging to obtain high-quality images for physician interpretation and patient care. This position requires independent judgment, critical thinking, and technical expertise to apply appropriate imaging techniques and optimize results while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic imaging procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all imaging procedures.
• Verify accurate patient identification and confirm appropriate study orders prior to examination.
• Apply independent judgment and critical thinking to optimize imaging techniques and results.
• Adhere to Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, values, policies, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Completion of a Technical Program for Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or related field.
• Licensed as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• ARRT certification.
• One (1) year of experience performing diagnostic imaging in a clinical setting.

Pay

Minimum starting salary: $35.75 per hour.

Schedule

Per diem/pool position with variable day shift hours.
