About the role

In this role, you will perform post-processing on CT/MRI data sets efficiently and maintain quality control measures for the 3D Lab and CT/MRI department. You will demonstrate expertise in CT, MRI, 3D post-processing, positioning, and technical factors while mentoring staff and providing in-services. Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensuring proper working condition of all CT/MRI post-processing equipment and coordinating repairs or maintenance with vendors.
• Maintaining inventory, equipment service records, and establishing QC/QA protocols as required by JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH, and other agencies.
• Using the RIS for scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, and assisting with patient charging accuracy.
• Handling radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other non-controlled medications as needed for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Supporting the mission and vision of Methodist Healthcare System with excellent customer service.
• Complying with safety policies, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to the MHS Code of Conduct.
• Completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer (RT) with ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certificate or Associate Degree in a related field.
