Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 1:00 am
  • Rotational call required (Two nights during the week: 1:00 am – 7:00 am and every 8th weekend)

About the role

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform advance CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all CT procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
  • Maintains proficiency to perform CT interventional procedures.
  • Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
  • Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
  • Adheres to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
  • Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Assists with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequences.
  • Acts as a mentor for students and junior technologists.
  • Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to post-process advance imaging procedures by using applications such as Syngo Via.
  • Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program (Required)
  • 1 year of CT experience (Required)
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT) (Upon Hire Required)
  • CT – Computed Tomography Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT) (Upon Hire Required)
  • BCLS – Basic Life Support (Upon Hire Required)
