Responsibilities
- Provide resort guests and servers with the highest quality, quick and efficient beverage service.
- Take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
- Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
- Maintain and control a high level of guest service achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
- Follow the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.
- Have a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensure that all the details of service are performed properly.
- Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order.
- Perform additional side duties.
- Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 50lbs.
- 1-2 years experience in a luxury resort.
- Fluent English.
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
