Pool Bartender
About the role
The Pool Bartender plays a crucial role in the service team, welcoming guests and providing exceptional Food & Beverage service. Responsibilities include preparing and serving beverages, maintaining bar organization, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests by name with a genuine smile, eye contact, enthusiasm, and engaging demeanor
- Introduce first-time guests to bar offerings, specialty cocktails, and signature beverages
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently
- Present the menu and offer helpful recommendations on cocktails, spirits, and pairings
- Take beverage and food orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Ensure timely delivery of drinks and bar-side service while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Act as a liaison between guests, management, and service staff to ensure seamless communication
- Demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and hospitality throughout each guest interaction
- Perform side work, restock supplies, and maintain bar equipment
- Contribute to safety, sanitization, and responsible alcohol service protocols to support a healthy work environment
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry
- Good knowledge of food and wine
- Experience at a luxury hospitality property
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
- Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position
