Pool Attendant

Overview

The Pool Attendant is responsible for promoting water safety among guests using the pool. Maintain the pool, spa, and pool deck.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and greeting residents.
• Approach all encounters with members, guests, and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous manner.
• Ask members for a membership card to ensure non-members are not using the pool – when applicable.
• Set up umbrellas and the cabanas; neatly arrange all pool furniture.
• Ensure residents are complying with Association Rules and Regulations.
• Report any malfunction immediately to Supervisor.
• Ensure the area is clean of trash and debris.
• Empty trash containers on the pool deck throughout the day, as needed.
• Empty trash containers and lower umbrellas before leaving at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

• The ability to swim is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a related position is helpful.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• The ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Must convey a positive and “can-do” attitude at all times, including during high-stressful situations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members and guests.

Work Environment

The nature of the work requires the employee to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Moderate noise level. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This position will require long periods of standing and walking, as well as working outdoors.

Pay

$20.00 per hour; seasonal position lasting six months or less.
