About the Role

As a Polysomnographic Technologist at Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, you will play a vital role in our rehabilitation program. You'll be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating program activities to ensure organizational and client goals are met. This position involves program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and driving productivity in a flexible, interdisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares for patient arrival by setting up and preparing equipment for ordered tests.
  • Interviews patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explains testing procedures.
  • Performs testing and any additional testing required for noted sleep disorders.
  • Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies.
  • Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
  • Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing.
  • Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
  • Maintains proper supplies to care for patients.

Qualifications

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Valid and current Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
