About the Role

The Polysomnographic Technologist-Level I performs all Sleep Disorder Center procedures, including diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, following community and national standards. Assists the Sleep Center manager/director in daily operations such as scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed. May be responsible for staff education and training. Safely manages the environment of care while providing quality services and sleep-related health education to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sleep data analysis and report generation
  • Conduct diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level, and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms
  • Administer Multiple Sleep Latency Tests
  • Assist in daily operations of the Sleep Disorder Center, including scheduling and phone management
  • Provide staff education and training as needed
  • Manage the environment of care and deliver quality services
  • Offer physical, supportive care, and sleep-related health education to patients of all ages

Qualifications

  • Nationally registered in polysomnography with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) required
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required
  • Graduate of an accredited polysomnography or respiratory therapy program preferred
  • 1 year of technical experience in a sleep lab/center preferred
  • Experience scoring sleep studies preferred
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If no degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Pay

Reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
