Qualifications
- High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
- Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential, or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
- Maintains meeting continuing education requirements as established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of hire.
- Reliable transportation to travel to any assigned MetroHealth Sleep Center.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel.
- Prior to employment, preferred to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- Sit for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
- See computer monitor and departmental documents.
