Polysomnographic Tech (Registered)
Responsibilities
- Performs all Sleep Disorder Center procedures, including but not limited to sleep data analysis and report generation, diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, in a manner consistent with community and national standards.
- Affords assistance to the Sleep Center manager/director in daily operations of the sleep Disorder Center, including but not limited to scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed by the manager or director.
- Might be accountable for staff education and training as needed.
- Safely manages the environment of care while providing quality services for all customers.
- Provides physical and supportive care and sleep related health education to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
- Nationally registered in polysomnography with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists - BRPT, or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine – AASM required, or a licensed RCPCurrent BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program or respiratory therapy program preferred.
- One year technical experience working in a sleep lab/center preferred.
- Experience scoring sleep studies, preferred.
- Adequate educational background: Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If there is no Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $24.31 to $35.21. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
