About the role

A sleep technologist works under general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in‑center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education. The technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in‑center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education.
• Perform the duties defined for a sleep technician.
• Provide oversight of other sleep center staff.
• Maintain credential in sleep technology.

Requirements

• Associates degree or Graduate accredited respiratory program or Completion of a STEP Program or Completion of a Certified Sleep Program
• No prior experience required
• RPSGT, CPSGT, or RST through BRPT
• CRT/RRT with SDS credentials from NBRC
• Completion of A‑Step (completion within 1 year of hire date)
• Eligible to sit for RST boards
• CPR certified
