About the role

Description Registered Polysomnograpic Technologists are responsible for performing, monitoring diagnostic testing following AASM guidelines under the direction of the Medical Director, Polysomnography Coordinator, Supervisor, Manager, or Lead Technologist. This includes all aspects of sleep disorders test up to but not limited to, patient hook-up, equipment interfacing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and scoring. This includes Polysomnography, Polysomnography with therapeutic intervention, screening studies, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT or MWT), patient follow-up and education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, monitor diagnostic testing following AASM guidelines under the direction of the Medical Director, Polysomnography Coordinator, Supervisor, Manager, or Lead Technologist.
  • Include all aspects of sleep disorders test up to but not limited to, patient hook-up, equipment interfacing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and scoring.
  • This includes Polysomnography, Polysomnography with therapeutic intervention, screening studies, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT or MWT), patient follow-up and education.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Completion of a polysomnography or sleep disorders technology program or science related field.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Or Upon hire: National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years Work in an AASM accredited Sleep Center, performing testing and PAP titrations.

Base pay range: $31.71 - $49.22. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
