Polysomnographer

Job Summary

Support patients in maintaining or restoring cardiopulmonary function under physician orders and departmental protocols. Use initiative to address and solve problems as they arise. Apply procedures, standards, and protocols to care for patients of all ages. Report to the Manager of Respiratory Care Services, who evaluates and reviews performance.

Required Qualifications

• Eligible for license/registration in one of the following (upon hire): National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT). National Certified Polysomnographic Technician (BRPT). National Sleep Disorders Specialty (NBRC).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory care or sleep study technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent critical care experience (within the last 12 months).
• Recent experience in sleep study technology.
• New graduates may be considered.
