Responsibilities
- Pipe Prep & Setup: Measure, cut, clean, and prepare plastic pipe and fittings.
- Face and Align: Position pipe ends according to fusion standards.
- Material Specs: Confirm material specifications and dimensions before assembly.
- Fusion & Assembly: Operate fusion equipment, monitor temperatures, pressures, and cycles, and create strong, leak-free joints.
- Piping Systems: Assemble systems to match drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Data Recording: Use the DataLogger® to record fusion data and upload to the Vault®.
- Quality Control: Identify and address quality issues.
- Safety & Standards: Adhere to safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Training: Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe workspace.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training is a plus).
- Ability to read blueprints and visualize 3D layouts.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems; fusion experience is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable operating and troubleshooting mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
- Basic computer skills for viewing digital drawings and entering data.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and reliability.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site equipment setup or repairs.
Qualifications
- Hands-on role with frequent standing, bending, and squatting.
- Climatized shop and warehouse environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs; lifting devices are available when needed.
- Some work in tight or confined spaces around equipment.
