About the role
Old Republic Title helps Americans protect their property rights while providing peace of mind for one of the largest investments they’ll make. We are adding a Policy Typist to our remote team. The successful candidate must have policy-typist experience in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan and will review, bill, and finalize lender, owner, and other types of final title policies.
Responsibilities
- Review closing documents and commitments provided by closing group/agents for completeness and accuracy.
- Type and/or review all products offered within the department (various types of final policies, replacement policies, and servicing policies).
- Manage work queues and keep policies delivered to customers within client service level agreements.
- Monitor files for completeness of lien clearance package, recognizing missing items.
- Monitor files for receipt of funds prior to issuing policy.
- Handle general internal customer inquiries without assistance in a timely manner as presented through direct email or group-managed email box.
- Resolve problem files in a timely manner or elevate to appropriate manager or risk management.
- Understand and run various reports for clients to keep the flow of orders moving and remove aged open orders.
- Consistently meet and/or exceed minimum production goals set for the position.
- Communicate with coworkers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Regular, consistent attendance is required.
- Accept supervision and foster professional and collaborative working relationships.
- Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees, and customers by email, phone, and in person.
- Work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Policy typist experience in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan.
- Exposure and knowledge in the title industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Strong working knowledge of title information, easements, leases, legal descriptions, vesting issues, legal terminology, and documents.
