We're looking for a Policy Advisor to join our Future Frameworks team and help shape the next generation of price control frameworks that will support consumers and Net Zero for years to come.

About the role

You'll contribute to the development of the next generation of price control frameworks for regulated energy network companies, working on innovative ideas that will shape how networks operate beyond 2031. This role offers a rare chance to work on forward-looking policy in an area that encourages strategic thinking, fresh perspectives, and new approaches.

Working across policy, analysis, and stakeholder engagement, you'll help test and challenge established thinking while contributing to the future evolution of our regulatory framework. You'll enjoy broad exposure across the team, collaborating with colleagues from different specialisms and engaging with industry and government in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the next generation of price control frameworks for Britain's regulated energy network companies.
  • Work on innovative policy ideas shaping how networks operate beyond 2031.
  • Engage in policy development, analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Test and challenge established regulatory thinking and approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across specialisms and engage with industry and government stakeholders.
  • Manage competing priorities and contribute to complex projects with confidence.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (lead criterion).
  • Demonstrable experience in engaging with or managing multiple stakeholders (lead criterion).
  • Demonstrable interest and/or experience in public policy, energy, or Net Zero.
  • Ability to manage different work activities or workstreams to keep projects on track.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
