About the role
The Austin Affordable Housing Corporation (AAHC) is seeking a Policy & Data Analyst to join their team. This role involves conducting rigorous, data-driven analysis of AAHC's real estate acquisitions and development activities, developing analytical frameworks, designing data visualization tools, collaborating with internal departments, and advocating for affordable housing policies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data or policy analysis
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Direct experience working in the affordable housing sector or public sector
- Familiarity with Chapter 392 and Public Facility Corporation (PFC) structures
- Knowledge of Texas state legislative processes
- Advanced analytics skills (e.g., R, Python)
- Exceptional data storytelling abilities
