About the role
The Police Officer position at the Vacaville Police Department is responsible for maintaining the peace and enforcing federal, state, and municipal laws. The department is committed to delivering exceptional law enforcement services to a diverse community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain public safety and enforce laws
- Investigate crimes and conduct patrols
- Provide emergency response and assistance
- Work collaboratively with community members
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Police Academy
- California POST Basic Certificate
- Valid California Class C driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation
- Spanish bilingual skills are highly desirable
Qualifications
- Education: A.A./A.S. degree preferred
- Experience: Probation as a sworn law enforcement officer in California
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid California Class C driver’s license, POST Basic Certificate
