About the role

Lake Havasu City Police Department is seeking certified and experienced officers to join their team in Arizona's most beautiful waterfront city.

Responsibilities

  • Provide law enforcement services in accordance with state and local laws.
  • Respond to emergency calls and conduct investigations.
  • Work various shifts including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Use department-issued equipment and technology such as in-car cameras and AI report writing software.
  • Participate in regular training and continuing education programs.

Requirements

  • AZ State certification as a Police Officer.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • High school diploma or GED (with preferred criminal justice or military service experience).
  • A valid Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Experience in law enforcement.
  • Ability to pass a physical agility test.
  • Ability to write a response to a writing assignment.
  • Pass an oral board interview.

Pay

First-year (Step 1) officers have an earning potential of approximately $87,000 with shift differential, built-in overtime, and holiday pay included. Special Teams and/or Special Assignments increase earning opportunities even more.

Schedule

Shift work requires day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Depending on the assignment, officers may work 10- or 12-hour shifts. Officers may work outdoors and may be exposed to extreme temperatures.
