Join our campus police team and make a difference by protecting our community through proactive patrol, law enforcement, crime prevention, and community engagement in a dynamic and rewarding public safety role.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patrol and operational police duties, including making arrests and enforcing criminal codes and statutes to safeguard the campus community.
• May assist in investigations or serve as a member of special teams or task forces.
• Participates in community outreach initiatives and crime prevention efforts.

• Associate's degree in any field.
• No previous work experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in any field.

Equivalent Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a certified police officer; or
• 2 years of combined experience allowing for:
  • Education (15 related credits equivalent to 6 months experience), and/or
  • Military service (honorably discharged), and/or
  • Certified police officer experience.

Preferred

• This position is designated as a primary key role under the “All Hazard Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)” and is essential to operational continuity and recovery. In emergencies, primary key personnel must report to work unless directed otherwise by a supervisor or public safety authorities for health and safety reasons.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity, including lifting average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four hours per day.
• Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions.
