Police Officer

Job Duties

• Enforcement of state and local law ordinances
• Criminal and non-criminal investigations
• Apprehension of criminals
• Patrol the township on an assigned shift
• Investigation of traffic accidents
• Securing scenes
• Responding to a wide range of citizen needs such as domestic disputes, alarm drops, rescue efforts, etc.

General Requirements

• Valid and current OPOTA Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid State of Ohio driver's license
• New applicants may need to pass a fitness test if out of the academy for a year
