Police Investigative Service Officer II
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections with real content.
We have job description: It includes responsibilities (list of duties). Also experience and education requirements. Also notes about wage increases, benefits (SDCERS enrollment), shift differential pay (5% additional pay for night shifts). Also license requirement. Also typing speed requirement. Also OCA documentation note.
We need to extract substantive info.
We should not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID.
We need to remove boilerplate: "JOB INFORMATION See NOTES below for future wage increases and/or additional compensation opportunities." etc. Also "APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING RELATED RECRUITMENT:" maybe not needed? It's about related recruitment but not substantive? Might be considered boilerplate. Probably drop.
We need sections: About the role (maybe a brief prose summarizing role). Responsibilities (list). Requirements (maybe experience). Qualifications (education/experience options). Skills (typing speed, driver license). Benefits (SDCERS enrollment, wage increase notes). Pay (maybe mention 5% additional pay for night shifts). Schedule (maybe mention night shifts possible). However we should only include sections if there is real specific content.
We have wage increase notes: future wage increases (3.5% effective 7/1/27, 2% effective 7/1/28, 2% effective 1/1/29). That's specific. So Pay section could include that.
Benefits: enrollment in SDCERS for eligible benefitted employees hired on or after July 10, 2021. That's a benefit.
Schedule: mention that Police Investigative Service Officer II employees may be required to work night shifts for which they may receive 5% additional pay. That's schedule info (night shifts) and also pay differential. Could be in Schedule section.
We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to preserve all substantive info; not invent.
Let's draft:
About the role
Police Investigative Service Officer I and II positions process, review and analyze misdemeanor and felony arrest reports and citations; gather and obtain statements by witnesses and prepare identification composites; check criminal records; take reports of misdemeanors when there are no immediate suspects; respond to requests for non‑hazardous police services; develop leads through computer research, witness statements and police documents; testify in court proceedings as required; assist in transporting property or personnel; investigate non‑injury and minor injury vehicle accidents, reports of vandalism, grand theft, annoying or threatening phone calls, crimes against property; identify, process and collect crime scene evidence including latent prints at designated crime scenes; maintain logs, prepare statistical data and perform data entry and retrieval; direct traffic; issue parking and/or misdemeanor citations; provide information to the public relative to community alerts, crime prevention and referral information to appropriate agencies; and perform other duties as assigned.
That's basically the responsibilities list but we can also split responsibilities into- . The instruction: Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we should convert the responsibilities into a list.
Thus About the role could be a short prose summarizing role, but we could also just have Responsibilities section with list. Since we have a lot of duties, better to put them under Responsibilities.
Thus:

- General wage increases: 3.5% effective July 1 2027, 2% effective July 1 2028, 2% effective January 1 2029
- Night shift differential: 5% additional pay for required night shifts
Schedule
Police Investigative Service Officer II employees may be required to work night shifts.
But we already mentioned night shift in Pay; still schedule is separate. Now we need to ensure we don't repeat info unnecessarily but it's okay. We must not include boilerplate like "JOB INFORMATION See NOTES below..." etc. We removed. Now ensure we preserve all substantive info: Did we miss anything? Let's check original text: - Responsibilities list: we captured all. - Experience requirement: captured. - Education/experience options: captured. - Note: Additional qualifying experience may NOT be used to substitute for lack of the required education. We missed that. Should include as a note maybe under Requirements or Qualifications. - Typing speed: captured. - OCA experience documentation: captured? We missed that. Need to include. - License: captured. - Notes about wage increases: captured in Pay. - Note about SDCERS enrollment: captured in Benefits. - Note about night shift differential: captured in Pay and Schedule. Thus we need to add OCA note and the "Additional qualifying experience may NOT be used..." note. Where to put? Could be under Requirements as a paragraph. Let's add after experience requirement paragraph a note: "Additional qualifying experience may NOT be used to substitute for lack of the required education." And OCA note: "City of San Diego employees using Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA) experience to qualify must submit written documentation signed by their appointing authority or payroll specialist, detailing the work performed, dates, and total number of qualifying OCA hours. OCA experience without the required documentation will NOT be considered." We can combine into a paragraph under Requirements. Now check for any other info: "Police Investigative Service Officer I Police Investigative Service Officer II positions process..." we used responsibilities. Anything about "See NOTES below for future wage increases and/or additional compensation opportunities." Already captured. Anything about "APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING RELATED RECRUITMENT:" we dropped. Now ensure we didn't include any placeholder like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Now output only HTML fragment. Let's craft final HTML. We'll need to escape any special characters? Not needed. Let's produce:Responsibilities
